Create Sustainable Desirability
DESIGN SERVICES
Product
Hurdge recognises the DNA of your products and develops the optimal physical presence.
The result is a desirable and at the same time realisable design of machines, devices, gadgets, packaging, helpers, equipment, cloths, furniture, appliances, supplies and utilities.
Interaction
To make the applicability of your products as clear and pleasant as possible, HURDGE dives deep into their inner workings.
This results in surprisingly simple UI/UX solutions, even for demanding and complex challenges such as displays, GUIs, pictograms, information architecture and embedded devices.
Mechanical
To ensure that our concepts make the leap into production without any problems, we rely on intensive dialogue with engineers and technicians right from the start.
This results in binding 3D CAD models and data in formats that can be seamlessly integrated by the manufacturer at a very early stage.
WORK
COLLTEX
High Performance Ski Skins
Design and development of ski skin fasteners to simplify handling and reduce the use of materials. “HEXAGON” is the new form and visual language.
OPTREL
Swiss Air Ventilation System
The device provides fresh air in work situations with a poor breathing environment. With Quo AG we developed a small, lightweight and robust solution. In addition, the innovative ventilated textile mask ensures pleasant coolness and comfort.
NOOTRIE
Protein drink machine
From the development of the powder capsule and the mixing unit to the realization of a function carrier and the industrial design of the series machine. The device is intended to provide elderly people with sufficient protein.
SBS
GUI Studio App
Schweizerische Bibliothek für Blinde, Seh,- und Lesebehinderte produces 500 audiobooks a year in 9 studios. To maximise autonomy in the recording and editing process, the speakers use an intuitive tablet app for text and voice communication with the recording manager. The GUI was developed in close co-operation with the management and the speakers. Although the new platform meant a change in work routines, it was enthusiastically accepted by the users.
SRF
GUI Design GFX
Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen. Investigation, specification and standardisation of studio workstations and user interfaces for an intuitive control console.
RHB
Barrier-free info system
The GUI of the info screens in RhB train carriages was revised in collaboration with representatives of the visually impaired. Font sizes, contrast values and pictograms have been adapted.
STAGETEC
AV Network Administration
In future, audio and video networks will be distributed via standardised network technology.
“Stagenet” blurs the boundaries between the complexity of professional applications and the intuitive simplicity of consumer tools.
STADLER RAIL
BLS Regio Express
The design of a complete railroad train takes into account the diverse requirements of many stakeholders: The rail passenger, the commissioning rail manufacturer, the rail operator and a large number of regulatory bodies. This brief was a competition entry that later emerged as the winner.
OLYMPIA EXPRESS
Maximatic
Rework of the 1974 model wich is the smallest dual-circuit espresso machine machine in the world. All surfaces have been aligned flush, the display instruments neatly designed, the controls arranged for maximum ease of use and the product graphics completely revised.
FLAWA
FFP2 mask with viewing window
Hearing-impaired people need to be able to read the mouth of the person they are speaking to in order to understand speech well. In the first year of the pandemic, a safe breathing mask was developed from the first sketch to series production in just 8 weeks.
EEPOC
Coffee service hub
Conception, design and prototyping of a coffee machine demonstrator device with augmented services capabilities – used for acceptance tests and investor search.
ECOSWASH
Steam-based robot car wash
Creation of a design vision for the financing campaign of a product development of a new type of car wash in the form of a picture book.
HURDGE
Engiadina S18 Floor Lamp
The lamp is a statement for the material wood, which is abundant and of the highest quality in my home town of Bergün. Made from a single piece of solid larch. CNC-milled patterns are reminiscent of the sgraffiti that can still be seen on many houses here. Classic meets modern.
HURDGE
One Stroke Guitar Amp
A tube guitar amplifier for home, studio or small venues. Invented during the pandemic for musicians at home, designed and produced in Bergün GR. It represents the essence of my enthusiasm for design in the broadest sense: Knowing user needs, understanding technology and satisfying the senses: hearing, eye, hands and also the gut.
CYMATIC AUDIO
uTrack24
Hardware design for a24-channel multi-track recorder, player and interface.
Mobile devices GUI design for remote control and configuration. Industrialdesign, GUI Design, Product Graphics and Packaging.
FREITAG
Helmet Design Challenge
A foldable bicycle helmet: How could a bicycle helmet be designed so that it is easy to stow away after the ride and takes up as little space as possible in the bag while on the move? Would users accept such a solution?
MESSER SCHWEIZ AG
Hydrogen filling station
Development of a filling station for hydrogen vehicles. This can be used both in the private/semi-private sector (decentralized solar power generation) and in the public sector (commercial fleets).
SEALED AIR
Sustainable packaging
Investigation into the acceptance of heavily material-reduced plastic meat packaging for wholesalers. From the investigation of stakeholder needs to the implementation of prototypes for customer surveys.
